How to activate ABBYY OCR

This page contains instructions on how to get a trial account to use the OCR techology from 'ABBYY'

To start using the ABBYY OCR technology:

  1. Create an account and get the application ID and password for the OCR.

  2. Add the application ID and password to the platform.

These steps are described in detail below.

Account creation

The 'START FREE TRIAL' button to create a trial account
  • Enter the account data. Upon completing the form, the 'Verify account' tab will open.

  • Confirm your account by following the link in the email.

  • Create a new application by providing its name and selecting the data processing server location. Then, an email with the application ID and password will be sent.

  • Open the email with the application ID (the name specified in the form above) and password and copy the data.

Adding the application ID and password to the platform

  • Run the "electroNeek Agent".

  • Right click on the corresponding icon in the tray and select 'Configure OCR' - 'Abbyy'.

  • Paste the application ID from the email to the 'Application id' field.

  • Paste the password from the email to the 'Application password' field.

  • Close the form after adding the ID and password.

The 'Recognize text (Abbyy)' function will then be available in the function list.
